It never happened to me but my Language Arts teacher mentioned that she’s read books with spelling mistakes and some grammar errors so yeah, I guess it can happen

I think you should, just for the passive-aggressiveness of it. Even if you don’t get anything back (you should get a letter though if that editor considers him/herself respectable) I think it’s worth a shot.

If you mean do the mistakes still make words? Yes. But either the wrong words (ie, “of” instead of “if”), or doubled words (and not like “had had” where it makes sense to have two, but double words where there aren’t actually supposed to be double words, or sometimes even a word missing from the sentence.

I can totally see myself doing this and not even receiving my book back. And then I’ll be like “…” But omg, just for the passive-aggressiveness.
